As part of this conference, Extempra was lucky enough to provide a 1.5-hour long training! The key issues that the students were interested in learning about were glossophobia, crafting persuasive points, and how to speak at a comfortable pace. Following that, we gave the judges a crash course on giving effective feedback, then got to see all of our tips in action as one of the judges for the competition as well!

Our thoughts after the workshop? It was extremely encouraging to speak with individuals who shared the types of methods they were already employing to improve their skills and had insightful questions all around! We spoke with one participant who not only practiced daily in front of a mirror but also watched multiple YouTube videos to see how others persuade!
